TOHO HOLDINGS CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Wakayama; Representative Director: Kohei Nishida; hereinafter “WACON”), as described below.

1. Reason for business alliance

TOHO HOLDINGS is a corporate group active in the medical, nursing and healthcare fields, engaged in pharmaceutical wholesaling, dispensing pharmacy, manufacturing and sales of pharmaceuticals, and development and provision of customer support systems under the corporate slogan “Total Commitment to Good Health”. TOHO HOLDINGS also proactively promotes initiatives for regional medical collaboration, nursing and home care.
WACON is engaged in manufacturing and sales of logistics equipment, including constant-temperature containers of food and pharmaceuticals, with its overwhelming development capabilities. In the pharmaceutical logistics, in particular, the company provides refrigerated and heat-insulated boxes and constant-temperature packaging services in accordance with the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Guidelines. Based on the high-precision temperature analysis simulations that satisfy the required temperature and transportation conditions, the company’s technology is widely used in domestic and overseas pharmaceutical transportation.
Through this capital and business alliance, TOHO HOLDINGS will promote joint development of new constant-temperature transportation products and development of new applications for WACON’s existing transportation products. We will establish a temperature control logistics system to maintain quality even in recent abnormal weather such as rising temperatures and strive for a stable supply of pharmaceuticals and other products.
