(Headquarters: Tokyo; President: Jerome Gillet; hereinafter, \u201cDHL Supply Chain\u201d) regarding a collaboration to provide comprehensive logistics solutions in Japan, as detailed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Background of collaboration<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TOHO HOLDINGS is a corporate group active in the medical, nursing and healthcare fields, engaged in pharmaceutical wholesaling, dispensing pharmacy, manufacturing and sales of pharmaceuticals, and development and provision of customer support systems under the Group slogan \u201cTotal Commitment to Good Health\u201d. TOHO HOLDINGS also proactively promotes initiatives for regional medical collaboration, nursing and home care.\nDHL Supply Chain is a member of the DHL Group, headquartered in Germany. As a global leader in the contract logistics industry, the DHL Group operates in 220 countries and regions.\nDHL Supply Chain and TOHO HOLDINGS have decided to begin discussions regarding a collaboration aimed at building an advanced healthcare logistics platform in Japan. The two companies will discuss ways to combine the DHL Group\u2019s global logistics network and specialized solutions in the life sciences and healthcare sectors with our group\u2019s established pharmaceutical distribution network, strengthen manufacturer and clinical trial logistics, and promote the provision of one-stop services in pharmaceutical distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n
